I can't beleive that we are leaving in a little more than just a month! It becomes more and more of a reality as each day ends and the departure date comes closer.
I am so excited to announce that I have only about $1000 left to raise! That is absolutely incredible to me and I am totally blown away. It is so exciting and encouraging to see how many people are showing me so much support. It is definitely reassuring and it is certainly God's way of saying that this is meant to be. My prayer requests have no definietly focused more on my drive and energy and commitment rather than support coming in. I am contining to pray that God continues to fuel the drive that I have had so far. I am also praying for a little bit of free time before I go work continues to consume my life, which is not a horrible thing becuase I am having fun working at the YMCA, but I definitely wish that I had more time to spend with my family and close friends before I leave.
This is a really interesting time during the planning process for the trip. I am just now starting to think about what sorts of things to pack and what things I'll be needing to take with me for when I am there. A couple weeks ago I laughed to myself as I wrote the date on a brand new shampoo bottle to see how many days it would last me while I am in India and how many shampoo bottles I will need to bring. I wonder what the airport officials will think when they see my suitcases full of shampoo, deoderant, and soap!!
Getting so excited for India!!!!!!! I hope everyone is as excited to read about all the adventures that I am sure I will have because I am so excited to be telling them!
